Ayanna Witter-Johnson

Line up: Ayanna Witter-Johnson (vocals, cello, piano) – Tania Ilyashova (piano) – Ed Riches (guitar/bass) – Bubba McCarthy (drums)

Singer-songwriter and cellist Ayanna Witter-Johnson is a rare exception to the rule that classical, jazz and alternative R&B cannot successfully coexist. As a composer, Ayanna has worked with the London Symphony Orchestra, Hugh Masakela and the BBC Symphony Orchestra’s Urban Classic program. Since releasing her debut EP in 2017 she has toured the UK and several countries in Europe quite extensively. This fall will see the debut of her full-length album. Because of her musical progress, mesmerizing vocals and non-compromising lyrics, Ayanna is able to span both the classical and urban worlds effortlessly.
